Students who intend to specialize in the analysis of children and adolescents should be familiar with both normal and abnormal psychology of childhood and adolescence. In addition to clinical experience, it is suggested that students acquire first hand knowledge of normal children in schools and institutions.
The minimal requirements for completion of training are as follows:
1. Courses Theoretical and technical Aspects of Child Analysis in work with pre-tendancy, latency, adolescents, and children with severe ego disturbances.
2. Seminars: Participation for not less than two years in the Continuous Case Seminar in Child Analysis;
3. Not less than two children and one adolenscent should be treated in supervised analysis, with at least two, and preferably three, supervising instructors.
4. Supervision will continue to the point of adequate demontration of competence in the analysis of children and/or adolescents.
